Jean-Yves Rossignol's creative process involves seeking formal harmony through the assemblage of contrasting objects and materials, and then associating this with a symbolic harmony between the artwork and an idea or concept. The intention is to evoke emotions and prompt reflection on the mystery of humanity.

The Earth
The constraints of technicism enclose the complex web of life.

The belief in the duality of body and mind reduces being to a simplistic expression that breaks the harmony of existence.

Psyche
The wisdom of the serpent lies dormant within humankind, the clumsy custodian of the Mystery, blinded by the myth of progress.

Consciousness and the material world are understood as being radically and irreducibly alien to each other, as are light and stone, which, however, are also energy .

Education aims to instill righteousness, virtue, and culture. Educational coercion uses force, guilt-tripping, punishment, or reward to make the individual a tool of the system. Education thus generates what it claims to combat: the atrophy of the individual, deviance, and perversion.

Inert and fragmented, humanity has failed to grasp the key to the mystery. A saving mythology remains to be imagined.

Knowledge and morality, that is, Reason, have failed to implement unconditional love for otherness. Like the Cyclopes, they manifest a dark and malevolent power .
